WISPR Ranger Pro Industrial Quadcopter

The Ranger Pro is a rugged quadcopter platform that provides a flight time of up to 38 minutes and a carrying capacity of 7 lbs. The portable drone features folding arms and a removable landing gear and fits into a compact carrying case for easy storage, transport and deployment.

The versatile and highly customizable drone platform can be engineered to carry almost any sensor or payload, including LiDAR scanners, visible and thermal cameras and more. Made from lightweight carbon fiber and aluminium, the Ranger Pro is tough enough to handle dirty and difficult environments while protecting expensive payloads.

The Ranger Pro is ready-to-fly with a number of payloads for industrial applications, including:

  • Gremsy Vio: An advanced lightweight EO/IR payload featuring a 4K zoom sensor, a 640×512 radiometric thermal camera, and an integrated 2400m laser rangefinder, suitable for various industrial applications.
  • Sony ILX-LR1: A 61-megapixel full-frame camera offering excellent resolving power, wide dynamic range, and a broad ISO range, ideal for high-resolution imaging needs.
  • WISPR 24MP Mapper: Equipped with a 1” Sony APS-C sensor, this 24.3-megapixel camera is designed for high-resolution aerial mapping, featuring RTK and PPK compatibility and a lightweight design.
  • RESEPI Gen-II M2X: An enhanced LiDAR scanner offering lighter weight and extended detection range, enabling longer flights and effective mapping of larger areas with dense vegetation. Can be equipped with the Sony ILX-LR1 (61MP).
  • RESEPI XT32: A compact and lightweight LiDAR scanner providing best-in-class data accuracy, good detection range, high point density, and versatility for various mapping and surveying tasks.
  • Teledyne Echo One: Fully NDAA compliant LiDAR scanner with up to 8 returns, setting a new standard for compact LiDAR systems. Can be equipped with the Sony ILX-LR1
  • YellowScan Surveyor Ultra: A high-performance LiDAR system designed for demanding surveying missions, delivering precise and reliable data.
  • YellowScan Explorer: Long range and compact, this scanner, developed by YellowScan, provides precision and accuracy of 2cm.
  • Dual-Frequency EchoSounder: This payload enables drone-based bathymetry, providing efficient and accurate underwater mapping and delivering precise depth measurements across various water conditions, making it ideal for hydrographic surveys, environmental monitoring and marine research.
  • Laser Falcon Methane Detector: Utilizing Infrared Absorption Spectroscopy, this sensor detects methane concentrations by emitting a laser light that reflects back to the sensor.

An intuitive smart ground control station (GCS) is provided as standard with the Ranger Pro. With a range of up to 3 miles, it can be used for drone control, video streaming, as well as FPV (first person view).

The rugged UAV can withstand wind speeds of more than 50 mph and features built-in LiDAR-based front or omni-directional collision detection for maximum safety. The system also incorporates a number of built-in fail-safes, automatically returning to land at the point of takeoff if it detects low battery, unusual vibrations, or issues with the motors, speed controller, or flight controller.
