Black Widow
Portable sUAS for short-range ISR & electronic warfare
The Black Widow is a portable multirotor sUAS designed to support the warfighter in a variety of tactical scenarios, including short-range reconnaissance and target identification. Made in the USA, the Blue UAS-certified drone system is part of Red Cat’s Arachnid Family of Systems, which has been purpose-built for the U.S. Army’s roadmap for UAS integration.
The versatile system features a fully modular architecture, allowing it to be quickly reconfigured in the field for different mission requirements. It is provided as standard with the Teledyne FLIR Hadron 640R+, enabling it to gather mission-critical EO/IR imagery at any time of day or night. An integrated Picatinny rail allows secondary payloads to be connected with ease.
The Black Widow also includes a hex-band radio from Doodle Labs, with frequency-stepping for enhanced resilience in electronic warfare (EW) environments.
The Black Widow drone has been chosen for the US Army Short Range Reconnaissance Program, read about it here.
Blue UAS approved hybrid VTOL tricopter for ISR & mapping
The Edge 130 Blue is an advanced tricopter drone that has been specifically designed to meet the needs of mission-critical government and military applications. Able to take off and land anywhere, the versatile drone can operate from an extremely small logistical footprint, and can be assembled and launched in just one minute. Featuring independent tilt-pod technology, the hybrid platform seamlessly transitions between forward flight and hover modes, and delivers class-leading flight endurances of up to two hours.
The Edge 130 Blue can be equipped with a range of easily-swappable Blue UAS-approved payloads, including a dual-channel EO/IR gimbal and a triple-camera mapping system. The UAS also features cyber-hardened radios with AES-128/256 encryption for the utmost in security.
Our Teal Drones subsidiary develops American-made drone platforms that are more than just flying cameras. Teal’s military-grade unmanned aircraft equip warfighters and civilian operators alike with powerful and rugged capabilities that ensure maximum mission effectiveness even at night and under the most challenging of environmental conditions.
Teal 2
Blue UAS quadcopter with high-resolution thermal imaging
The Teal 2 is an advanced quadcopter sUAS (small unmanned aerial system) that is designed, built, and serviced in the USA and is one of the approved platforms on the U.S. Department of Defense DIU Blue UAS list. Designed primarily for short-range reconnaissance missions, it is ideal for a wide range of military and civilian use cases, and is highly cost-effective within its class.
Featuring a compact, foldable and rugged design, the versatile UAS is easily carried in a rucksack and can be rapidly deployed under the most challenging of conditions.
Optimized for mission-critical night-time operation, the Teal 2 is equipped with the advanced FLIR Hadron 640R EO/IR payload, combining a 64MP visible camera with a radiometric 640 x 512 thermal imager. This sophisticated system enables you to easily identify and track targets and gain critical situational awareness even in complete darkness.
The Hadron 640R provides a comprehensive set of thermal palettes, allowing you to optimize infrared imaging output to suit specific mission requirements. These include:
White Hot – mostly-dark screen for preserving night vision
Black Hot – displays body heat in a clear image with high detail
Hottest – ideal for high-contrast environmental conditions, firefighting and leak detection
Arctic – contrasts light colors against darker shading, making it easy to rapidly detect heat sources and slight temperature changes
Ironbow – shows heat distribution and subtle details, ideal for low-contrast environments
Learn more about Teal 2’s thermal imaging capabilities
The Teal 2 has been engineered with a modular design that allows it to be enhanced with upgrade packages, future-proofing the platform as technology advances. This modularity also allows payloads and propulsion systems to be quickly swapped out, making it easy to repair or reconfigure in the field.
The Teal 2 is part of a comprehensive tactical ecosystem that has been created in conjunction with our business partners, allowing the platform to be equipped with third-party AI and computer vision enhancements for 3D mapping, target identification, and more.
Military & Defense
Designed to support United States military operations, the Teal 2 is a crucial tool for gathering real-time ISR data in the field. The platform’s long-range and high-altitude capabilities allow it to access difficult and dangerous areas without putting personnel at risk.
Firefighting
The Teal 2’s cutting-edge FLIR Hadron 640R payload make it an excellent choice for supporting firefighting missions. The advanced thermal imaging capabilities allow it to detect and monitor hotspots, assess damage, and analyse temperature data, even under highly limited visibility conditions.
Law Enforcement & Public Safety
Our sophisticated drone platforms allow law enforcement, public safety and search and rescue personnel to gather critical aerial intelligence that allows them to make better-informed decisions, respond rapidly, and significantly increase the chances of a successful mission.
Commercial & Industrial
In addition to military and tactical applications, the Teal 2 is also highly suited to a wide range of civilian and commercial use cases, including industrial inspection, construction, agricultural management, and more.
