The Black Widow™ small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) by Red Cat Holdings has been selected by an undisclosed Asia-Pacific ally for military use following a competitive tender.
This agreement, finalized in December 2025, marks the second ally in the Asia-Pacific region to recently order the Black Widow platform. Red Cat is scheduled to deliver an undisclosed number of systems throughout the 2026 calendar year. Each individual system provided under the contract includes two Black Widow aircraft, a Ground Control Station (GCS), and other mission-critical components.
The Black Widow is Red Cat’s flagship sUAS, designed specifically for tactical edge Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Red Cat engineered the platform with a compact, rugged design and a secure communications architecture. The system is compliant with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and serves as a modular, scalable component within the company’s broader Family of Systems.

While specific quantities and financial terms remain undisclosed, further details regarding both recent Asia-Pacific orders are expected to be released in the near future.
