Inspired Flight Technologies has released new integration kits that provide native compatibility between its drone platforms and the MicaSense Series of multispectral sensors.
The development allows the IF800 Tomcat and IF1200 UAS to interface directly with Eagle NXT’s sensors, specifically the Altum-PT and RedEdge-P models. By utilizing a specialized Smart Dovetail Interface, the system facilitates synchronized power, data, and control. This hardware configuration eliminates the need for custom cabling or third-party adapters, allowing operators to capture multispectral, thermal, and panchromatic imagery through a secure, U.S.-manufactured system.
The integration is designed to support technical applications in environmental monitoring, scientific research, and precision agriculture. By focusing on a plug-and-play workflow, the kits enable rapid payload swaps while maintaining optimized flight balance for the aircraft. As both the drone hardware and the sensors meet regulatory security standards, the solution is positioned as a turnkey option for organizations requiring NDAA-compliant equipment.
