Inspired Flight IF1200A and IF800 Tomcat drones have been awarded Green UAS certification by the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI).
This distinction confirms the platforms’ compliance with stringent NDAA standards and cybersecurity protocols. Additionally, the drones are certified under the Blue UAS framework established by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), positioning them as versatile and secure options for defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure missions.
The IF800 Tomcat is precision-engineered to perform in harsh environments. It’s a highly reliable platform that combines state-of-the-art technology with a steadfast commitment to national security, ensuring top-tier data protection and operational efficiency.
The IF1200 is the workhorse of the drone industry, providing a safe and dependable platform for various tools and applications. This heavy-lift hexacopter has earned the trust of government and commercial agencies for its reliability and versatility.
Both American-made models excel in mission-critical scenarios, offering:
- Dual certification under AUVSI’s Green UAS and DIU’s Blue UAS frameworks.
- NDAA compliance and robust cybersecurity measures.
- Adaptability for public safety, critical infrastructure, and defense missions.
- Continuous supply chain risk management through Green UAS monitoring.
The Green UAS certification process included a thorough evaluation of the drones’ components and subcomponents for cybersecurity and NDAA compliance. This certification ensures that the platforms align with DIU’s Blue UAS requirements, providing a high level of assurance to end-users in both defense and commercial sectors.
Rick Stollmeyer, CEO of Inspired Flight commented, “Inspired Flight is pleased to embrace AUVSI’s Green UAS program, which provides an important certification of NDAA compliance and security.”
David Michelson, Director of DIU’s Autonomy Portfolio, said “The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) supports all efforts to raise the overall standard of industry verification. AUVSI’s Green UAS initiative provides certainty as to NDAA compliance and a cyber security standard. AUVSI’s framework for cybersecurity and NDAA supply chain compliance is modeled on DIU‘s approach to Blue UAS.
“The goal of DIU’s Blue UAS refresh is to ensure the Blue UAS list is a current, robust roster of policy approved commercial UAS which suit the diverse needs of DoD users. DIU works closely with AUVSI, whose Green UAS certification builds upon Blue UAS to serve the commercial and non-defense drone industry. I am enthusiastic to see an industry led program like Green UAS that can give the same level of trust to the commercial sector.”
Casie Ocaña, Director of Trusted Programs at AUVSI, added “Green UAS certification ensures that non-DOD federal, state, and local agencies and other security-sensitive technology users can continue to access secure, NDAA-compliant drone technology. These additions maintain robust procurement options open while giving agencies the confidence to deploy drones for critical missions. AUVSI and the secure drone industry is committed to meeting the highest standards of supply chain- and cyber-security.”
By achieving Green UAS and Blue UAS certifications, Inspired Flight reinforces its dedication to providing secure, compliant, and versatile drone solutions for both government and commercial sectors. These certifications underline the company’s role in advancing standards for cybersecurity and operational reliability in the unmanned industry.
