BRINC builds technology in the service of public safety. Their systems give first responders eyes and ears inside structures to make life saving decisions and keep people safe.
The LEMUR S first response drone was designed to reduce risk in dangerous situations. It features US-made hardware and software and was developed in conjunction with the United States Department of Homeland Security and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
LEMUR S Public Safety Drone
Situational awareness drone for first responders, law enforcement and SWAT teams
The LEMUR S first response drone has been designed to reduce risk during high-stakes critical situations. By sending in the drone first, LEMUR S provides eyes and ears for better decision-making and prioritizes the safety of not only first responders but civilians and suspects too.
31-Minute Flight Time | 10-Hour Perch Time | 50mph Max Speed
The high-performance multirotor drone features a best-in-class 31-minute flight time and ten-hour idle perch time. The drone’s lithium-ion battery can be recharged to 90% capacity in just 45 minutes, allowing for quick redeployment.
The highly maneuverable platform can reach a top speed of 50mph (80.5km/h), and can handle 3g maximum acceleration and 2g maximum vertical acceleration.
The onboard microphone and integrated speaker provide a unique two-way communications facility that is ideal for first responders, crisis negotiators, and search and rescue operators.
The entire LEMUR S system is fully modular, and can be easily disassembled into a one-person-portable ruggedized case for convenient and safe transport.
Durable and rugged indoor reconnaissance drone for tactical operations
The LEMUR S features a highly durable carbon fiber reinforced nylon construction that can survive drops of over 40 feet. Fully enclosed propellers enable the drone to bounce off walls and even push open doors, making it ideal for indoor and confined-space missions.
A unique self-righting “turtle” function allows the LEMUR S drone to get back in the air quickly even after crash-landing on its back.
Conforming to IP24 standards, the LEMUR S is capable of operating under rainy and snowy conditions.
Secure long-range data and video transmission
The LEMUR S features a state-of-the-art encrypted wireless data video transmission system with near-zero latency, high material penetration and a line-of-sight transmission range in excess of 8 miles (13km). Drone pilots can operate the LEMUR S from a safe distance and even through dense materials without losing control or the video feed.
The system includes a self-contained video receiver and repeater that improves the drone’s operating range and signal penetration, and transmits live video to ground control station displays.
The repeater/receiver is housed in a small-form-factor magnetized Pelican case that can be easily attached to anything metal, or mounted to a tripod.
The reconnaissance drone is controlled via a proprietary handheld controller with a built-in 7-inch LCD screen and rugged carbon fiber frame. An advanced VR headset peripheral is also available, providing superior pilot immersion and focus.
Versatile payloads and tactical accessories
The LEMUR S can be equipped with a variety of interchangeable camera payloads for operations under any lighting conditions. These include including a 1080p/60fps high- and low-light-capable camera sensor, and a wide-FOV IR-sensitive main lens.
With an ambient light sensor, and integrated night-vision optics switcher and high-powered IR LEDs, the drone can see even in zero light.
The versatile tactical drone also features an accessory mount that can accommodate a variety of devices, including floodlights or a multi-purpose dropper attachment for payloads up to 1 lb.
When equipped with a glass breaker attachment, LEMUR S can breach tempered, automotive, and most residential glass. This vital ability allows the first response drone to ventilate buildings during fires, make entry during time-critical situations, and save lives when stakes are high.
A built-in set of two ultra-sensitive electret condenser microphones enable the LEMUR S to detect human voices, footsteps, and doors closing up to 100 feet (30 m) away, and an adjustable loudspeaker allows it to be heard at distances of up to 500 feet (152 m).
Durable two-way communications for de-escalation & negotiation
Designed for SWAT and first responders, the BRINC BALL is a two-way communication device that can be dropped by the LEMUR S or other robotic vehicle, or can be thrown or rolled manually even down flights of stairs.
The BRINC BALL works like a cell phone, with an internal SIM card providing connectivity and allowing personnel to speak first. The speaker, microphone and electronics are all encased in a state-of-the-art protective resin that provides shock resistance to MIL-810G.
The unit’s charging port and internals are inaccessible without a special tool, making it tamper-proof during operations.
SWAT and Police sUAS
The LEMUR S Police UAS allows officers to search for suspects both indoors and outdoors, and reduces risk as well as the need for use of force. Ready for deployment in just 45 seconds, LEMUR S allows SWAT teams to respond immediately to developing situations.
A powerful two-way cellular communication system allows crisis negotiators to negotiate with suspects and avoid unnecessary conflict.
Fire
The rugged LEMUR S can be sent into areas and structures that are too dangerous for humans to enter, and can be used to search for and communicate with people who are trapped or in danger. Equipped with a glass-breaker, it can ventilate second-story windows.
Search and Rescue
Able to communicate and stream video through dense material, the LEMUR S is ideal for search and rescue missions, allowing the pilot to operate from a safe location. The drone can operate in the dark, including truly zero light, and deliver critical payloads such as first aid and medicine.
HAZMAT
The LEMUR S emergency response drone allows HAZMAT operators to survey toxic environments without putting themselves at risk. With extended signal range and a virtual reality headset, it can provide vital information on hazards and potential casualties even inside buildings.
