Dual-Use Unmanned Aircraft for Logistics, Medical Transport, ISR & Tactical Support

Avilus is an innovative developer and certified operator of dual-use unmanned aircraft that serve a range of civilian and military applications including logistics, medical transport, ISR and tactical support. Designed and made in Germany, the company’s solutions are designed to bridge the gap between commodity drones and legacy aviation, and are compliant with emerging regulatory frameworks such as the EASA Specific Category.

Grille

Tactical heavy-lift unmanned aircraft for patient transport & logistics

Grille Heavy-Lift Tactical Drone

Grille is a powerful heavy-lift unmanned aircraft designed for challenging patient transport and medical evacuation scenarios. The rapidly-deployable platform can be assembled tool-free in 15 minutes, offering unparalleled response times and significantly increasing the survival probability of patients.

The aircraft’s modular cabin includes a comprehensive set of first responder equipment, and also offers in-flight vital signs monitoring and remote video-based psychological support. Grille is capable of fully autonomous flight, backed by jamming-resistant navigation and redundant avionics and powertrain.

Grille can also be utilized for frontline logistics, providing emergency short-range resupply of critical goods such as ammunition, medical supplies, or communications gear.

Wespe

Tactical multi-role helicopter UAV for resupply, medical evacuation & close air support

Wespe Mid-range Transport of Various Tactical Payloads

Wespe is a versatile multi-mission rotary UAV platform that overcomes the limitations of crewed helicopters, providing rapid response and high availability for a wide range of land and marine operations. It is equipped with a piston engine as standard, and a turbine variant is available that boosts the baseline payload capacity from 200 to 350 kg.

The modular platform can be tailored to the unique requirements of a variety of missions, including:

Avilus Wespe Tactical Resupply – air-dropped speedbags with rope brakes enable rapid delivery of essential supplies in high-risk environments

Close Air Support – Wespe can be fitted with precision-guided munitions for anti-armor defense as well as direct-fire weapons for force protection

Medical Evacuation – a fully-equipped medical cabin can be fitted to provide critical mid-range casualty transport on land or at sea

Wespe has been designed with autorotation capabilities and redundant avionics to ensure the utmost in safety during emergency situations, and also features jamming-resistant autonomous navigation.

Bussard

Long-range tactical unmanned aircraft for ISTAR & close air support

Bussard - Built for Strategic Reach

Bussard combines a certified ultralight aircraft body with military-grade avionics and state-of-the-art sensors to provide a long-range and cost-effective platform for ISTAR (intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance) and close air support. With a 2500 km range and up to 14 hours of mission endurance, it enables unmatched persistent situational awareness capabilities for superior decision-making.

Avilus Bussard

Equipped with high-performance synthetic aperture radar and optics, the platform delivers 360-degree coverage during the day or at night and in all weather conditions. It can be launched from short grass strips or makeshift runways, requiring only a minimal logistical footprint.

Bussard is also ideal for supporting defense forces with standoff target designation and cueing for intelligent effect delivery, enabling accurate engagement across domains and beyond line-of-sight.

RasCore Air

Onboard flight control, navigation & communications system

Avilus RasCore Onboard Flight Control

RasCore Air is the onboard system that powers all Avilus uncrewed aircraft, combining flight control, monitoring, navigation, communication and transponders in a fully redundant architecture. Designed to comply with EASA Specific Category regulations and to be interoperable with NATO battle management systems, it ensures mission success even under contested and signal-denied conditions.

Avilus RasCore Navigation & Communications The comprehensive feature set includes:

  • Primary flight control, secondary flight control and autonomy all implemented on dissimilar hardware
  • Dual independent monitoring systems for flight envelope protection & emergency systems deployment
  • Military-grade inertial sensing couple with multi-constellation & multi-frequency GNSS
  • LiDAR & secondary radar for precision landing in confined spaces or on naval vessels
  • Multiple LOS & BLOS communications links with optional SATCOM

RasCore Ground

Rugged mobile two-person ground control station

Avilus RasCore Dispatching Autonomous Flight operations

RasCore Ground is a mobile ground control unit designed to be rapidly deployed and operated by a two-person crew. Standard operating procedures require only supervision and monitoring with no piloting, making the system easy to learn with minimal training.

Avilus RasCore Dispatching Autonomous Flight.jpeg The complete system provides two remote pilot stations that are coupled together to ensure full redundancy. Each station includes a dedicated mission computer, safety-critical real-time avionics computer, and independent backup instruments. The compact units fit in four modular cases that can be transported alongside the aircraft in a single container.

RasCore Ground’s architecture has been designed to comply with EASA standards for medium to high-risk operations, and is ideal for supporting a wide range of unmanned aviation missions in both civilian and contested airspace.
