Avilus has publicly demonstrated flight operations with its Bussard tactical unmanned aircraft from a distance of around 800 kilometres.
Designed and manufactured in Germany, the demonstration underscores the company’s emphasis on European sovereignty, German manufacturing and dual-use unmanned aviation for civilian and military applications.
Bussard combines a certified ultralight airframe with military-grade avionics, advanced sensors and long-endurance performance for ISTAR and close air support missions. With a range of up to 2,500 km and up to 14 hours of endurance, the platform supports persistent situational awareness, target acquisition and beyond-line-of-sight operations from short grass strips or makeshift runways.
