Wespe is a versatile multi-mission unmanned helicopter that provides a high degree of operational flexibility over both land and marine environments. With retractable landing gear and a compact footprint, it overcomes the limitations of both commodity drones and legacy aircraft, addressing the mid-range supply gap.
The modular heavy-lift platform is equipped with a piston engine as standard, and a turbine variant is available that boosts the baseline payload capacity from 200 to 350 kg. It can be tailored to the unique requirements of a variety of missions, including:
- Tactical Resupply – air-dropped speedbags with rope brakes enable rapid delivery of essential supplies in high-risk environments
- Close Air Support – Wespe can be fitted with precision-guided munitions for anti-armor defense as well as direct-fire weapons for force protection
- Medical Evacuation – a fully-equipped medical cabin can be fitted to provide critical mid-range casualty transport on land or at sea
Wespe has been designed with autorotation capabilities and redundant avionics to ensure the utmost in safety during emergency situations, and also features jamming-resistant autonomous navigation.
