The Airbus Flexrotor is a state-of-the-art Group 2 VTOL UAS that is ideal for military and defense applications such as ISTAR, SIGINT and ELINT as well as a variety of civil and commercial use cases. The easily transportable system can be operated from a single vehicle or small vessel, requiring no special LRE (launch and recovery equipment).
The Flexrotor is equipped with a 28cc two-stroke engine that can be configured to run either on gasoline or heavy fuel, and delivers 12 to 14 hours or more of flight endurance in its typical configuration. Offering a payload capacity of 8 kg, it can be integrated with a range of different sensors and equipment, including high-resolution cameras, SIGINT/ELINT apparatus, and communication systems.
The field-proven unmanned aircraft is engineered to withstand the toughest of battlefield conditions and austere environments. It can take off and land in winds and gusts of up to 27 knots, and has been rigorously tested at extremes of temperature and high altitudes.
