The Gryphon platforms utilize a rigid carbon fiber frame with 70mm octagonal booms and in-house manufactured AL7075 aluminum connectors. The airframe design improves structural resistance to bending under load while maintaining low overall weight.
The Gryphon GD-125X and Gryphon GD-225X heavy-lift cargo drones are powered by a high-voltage lithium-polymer battery system (45.6V, 32A) housed in a protective battery canister. The enclosure includes a one-touch lever system for mounting and removal, along with an external balance port for individual cell voltage monitoring. Under maximum load conditions (approximately 50 kg), these systems deliver competitive flight durations.
The propulsion system consists of a coaxial X8 configuration with paired motors mounted in opposing directions on each arm. This arrangement increases thrust within the same frame footprint and provides basic redundancy, allowing controlled descent in the event of single-motor failure.
The drones are equipped with foldable arms that use a lock knob system to reduce hinge vibration and maintain rigidity during flight. The folding mechanism supports deployment and storage in restricted environments and enables pre-flight setup in under five minutes.
Use cases include aerial transport of supplies and equipment in sectors such as construction, forestry, firefighting, and medical logistics.
