Navigation Systems

GNSS-Denied Navigation Kit

Combined AHRS and visual navigation for reliable dead reckoning

GNSS Denied Navigation KitThe GNSS-Denied Navigation Kit combines our POLAR-300 AHRS with our VNS01 Visual Navigation System and a reliable ADS (Air Data System) to provide precise and stable dead reckoning navigation under GNSS-denied conditions. Able to detect and counter sophisticated modern jamming and spoofing threats, it maintains error rates as low as 1% over covered distances.

The compact and lightweight system features simplified wiring for easy integration, and is ideal for Class I and II UAVs.

POLAR-300

Combined air data, AHRS & INS unit for UAVs

Combined air data, AHRS & INS unitThe POLAR-300 combines an air data system and MEMS-based AHRS and INS with redundant IMUs to provide a high-performance solution for precision attitude estimation and dead reckoning navigation. It is compatible with UAV Navigation’s DGC01 Dual GNSS Compass for further accuracy enhancements in static applications.

The unit is packaged in a rugged aerospace-grade anodized aluminium enclosure, and is easily integrated into a wide range of platforms.

POLAR-500

AHRS-IMU system with dual GNSS compassing

AHRS-IMU system with dual GNSS compassingThe POLAR-500 is a combined Air Data and Attitude Heading Reference System that also incorporates a dual GNSS compass, providing precise attitude and heading estimation capabilities and delivering azimuth and elevation angles through an ARINC 429 standard output. The system is ideal for providing stabilization and pointing capabilities for UAV SATCOM antennas.

The compact and low-power unit is packaged in a rugged aluminium enclosure, and is easily integrated into a wide range of platforms.

VNS01

Visual navigation system for GNSS-denied environments

Visual navigation system for GNSS-denied environmentsThe Visual Navigation System (VNS01) utilizes an onboard camera and sophisticated visual odometry and pattern recognition techniques to create an internal map that can be utilized for uninterrupted positioning and navigation under GNSS-denied conditions. Integrating with other onboard sensors, the system can be used to provide the flight computer with high-accuracy absolute position, orientation and relative movement calculations.

vns01 Visual navigation system for GNSS-denied environments

The compact and lightweight unit features simple wiring and has been specifically designed for NATO Category I and II UAS.

DGC01

Dual GNSS compass for high-accuracy heading estimation

Dual GNSS compassThe DGC01 provides high-performance heading estimation without reliance on magnetic sensors, delivering accuracy of up to 0.3 degrees under both static and dynamic conditions. Utilizing GNSS interferometry, it can be used to improve the heading estimation provided by the existing system, or as a backup capability for instances where magnetometer performance is affected by electromagnetic disturbances.

MG01

Self-contained magnetometer for dynamic UAV applications

MG01 MagnetometerThe MG01 is a self-contained magnetometer designed to provide precision 3D magnetic field readings under highly dynamic conditions. It can be easily installed on UAV wings or fuselages, allowing it to be placed away from other onboard systems that can interfere with magnetic readings. Featuring advanced algorithms, the MG01 can be used to provide the autopilot with improved heading information as well as attitude calculations.
