UAV Navigation–Grupo Oesía recently hosted the XXVII Armed Forces General Staff Course from the Spanish Center for Advanced National Defense Studies (CESEDEN) at its facilities in San Sebastián de los Reyes.
The delegation comprised over thirty future officers representing all branches of the Spanish Armed Forces alongside allied nations, including the United States, Portugal, and South Korea. Led by Navy Commander José Ramón Cuartero Lorenzo, the group conducted a technical tour to examine guidance, navigation, and control solutions currently providing critical capabilities to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) worldwide.
The visit served to highlight the strategic projects currently being undertaken by the company to strengthen technological sovereignty and defense innovation. During the technical sessions, attendees engaged with department leaders regarding the application of flight control solutions in technically demanding scenarios, specifically focusing on operations within GNSS-denied environments.
The hosting team included Carlos Lázaro Echavarría, Head of the Commercial Department, and Brigadier General César Sáenz de Santa María of Grupo Oesía. The interaction between the industrial sector and the Ministry of Defense’s strategic academic centers reinforces the company’s position as a benchmark for flight control systems designed for maximum efficiency and safety.
By developing specialized technology for the aeronautical sector, the company continues to focus on creating autonomous defense capabilities for Spain, Europe, and allied partners. This engagement underscores the importance of institutional collaboration in the development of advanced systems that ensure operational success in increasingly complex global environments.
