UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía has joined the TICHE Project to develop advanced capabilities for detecting hidden threats through the coordinated use of unmanned aerial and terrestrial platforms.
The initiative focuses on identifying landmines and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in complex environments by merging cutting-edge sensors, artificial intelligence, and multiplatform collaboration. The primary objective of the endeavor is to protect and preserve human lives through technological innovation while prioritizing power efficiency, portability, and continuous operation.
Within the project, UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía is responsible for the guidance, navigation, and control of the unmanned systems. Their role involves managing the flight of multiple Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) platforms operating as a swarm and ensuring seamless integration with Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs).
The project combines advanced sensors with intelligent data fusion algorithms to enhance the efficiency of threat detection. By leveraging collaborative efforts between cross-domain unmanned systems, the TICHE solution aims to mitigate risks to personnel during military operations and lifesaving endeavors.
Funded by the European Commission through the European Defence Fund and led by RINA-CSM, the project represents a strategic partnership between industry leaders, academic institutions, and government agencies. This collaboration exemplifies a commitment to driving technological advancements for the greater good and enhancing international security.
