The World’s First Native Parallel Hybrid™ Propulsion System for UAVs Israel
The World’s First Native Parallel Hybrid™ Propulsion System for UAVs
Lowental Hybrid is the developer of the world’s first Native Parallel Hybrid™ propulsion system for UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles). The company’s innovative solution is hybrid by design, combining an electrical system with an internal combustion engine to deliver high-speed fuel-powered flight and a low-noise stealth mode driven by battery.
The battle-proven system is ideal for Group 2 or 3 UAVs, providing massively enhanced flight endurance and covert capabilities with minimal integration requirements and no compromises.
Native Parallel Hybrid™ Technology
Native Parallel Hybrid™ is the only propulsion architecture that has been designed from the ground up to combine the longevity advantages of ICE with the stealth capabilities of electric power on the same drivetrain. The engine recharges the battery on the fly, eliminating the need for battery swapping and boosting endurance by up to five times. Electric and combustion power can be operated independently or combined together, allowing you to switch instantly to adapt to changing mission profiles.
The solution is a true drop-in capability, providing enhanced effectiveness for your tactical drone platforms without the need for complete system overhaul or the purchase of an entirely new UAV.
Next-Generation Propulsion for Tactical UAVs & Loitering Munitions
LH Series
The LH series hybrid propulsion systems combine electric and internal combustion power to deliver extended endurance and optimized efficiency for professional UAV operations.
Designed for both fixed-wing and VTOL platforms, they enable seamless transitions between electric and fuel modes via a smart controller that balances performance and energy use. The propulsion systems provide quiet, low-signature takeoffs and landings with powerful, fuel-efficient flight during extended missions.
The LH series is available in multiple configurations for fixed-wing UAVs up to 120 kg:
LH-01
Max. Gasoline Output: 1415 W / 1.9 HP
Max. Electric Output: 2755 W / 3.69 HP
Unit Weight: 2.5 kg / 5.5 lb
LH-02
Max. Gasoline Output: 2385 W / 3.2 HP
Max. Electric Output: 3600 W / 4.82 HP
Unit Weight: 3.3 kg / 7.3 lb
LH-03
Max. Gasoline Output: 3400 W / 4.55 HP
Max. Electric Output: 7355 W / 9.86 HP
Unit Weight: 4.65 kg / 10.25 lb
LH-04
Max. Gasoline Output: 5960 W / 8.0 HP
Max. Electric Output: 9135 W / 12.25 HP
Unit Weight: 6.1 kg / 13.44 lb
By integrating high power-to-weight performance, dual redundancy, and in-flight battery charging, the LH series enables tactical and commercial UAVs to operate longer, quieter, and more reliably. The built-in Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) ensures consistent performance even in adverse weather conditions, while air-start capability and automatic failover provide robust mission resilience.
The GH series hybrid generator systems are advanced range extenders that provide sustained electrical power for professional drone operations. Designed for single-rotor and multi-rotor platforms, the GH series delivers reliable electrical output for long-endurance missions with simple integration across a wide range of drone platforms.
The hybrid generator systems’ compact, lightweight design minimizes impact on payload capacity while significantly extending mission duration. The GH series is available in multiple configurations, including the GH-02 and GH-04, supporting drones with MTOW up to 35 kg.
By combining high power-to-weight performance with dual power redundancy, the GH series supports reliable operation in demanding environments. Built-in EFI ensures consistent engine performance and efficiency, while automatic failover and limp-home functionality provide added operational resilience.
