SBG Systems has expanded its line of high-performance Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) with the announcement of the Pulse-20, a sub-miniature, industrial-grade IMU that will be commercially available before the end of the year.
The company has also confirmed the full commercial release of the Pulse-80, delivering a complete IMU portfolio designed to meet a wide range of application requirements.

The Pulse series now includes three performance levels:
- Pulse-20 – A sub-miniature industrial-grade IMU offering 9-degree-of-freedom measurements with integrated magnetometers. In addition to serial communication, it provides CAN connectivity, enabling straightforward integration across a broad range of platforms.
- Pulse-40 – A tactical-grade IMU that combines robustness and precision for demanding missions.
- Pulse-80 – A high tactical-grade IMU that delivers FOG-level (Fiber Optic Gyroscope) performance without the size, weight, or cost typically associated with traditional FOG solutions.
This tiered product line enables system integrators to select the right solution for their requirements, while benefiting from a consistent hardware architecture, unified software interface, and stringent quality standards across all models.
Shared Architecture and Reliability
All Pulse IMUs are thoroughly tested, qualified, and individually temperature calibrated to guarantee reliable, repeatable performance. Even the entry-level Pulse-20 incorporates SBG’s advanced calibration process, ensuring industrial users can depend on consistent results across the product range.
Yoann Plénet, Head of Product at SBG Systems, commented, “With the Pulse-20 announcement and the commercial availability of the Pulse-80, SBG Systems now offers a full IMU portfolio that addresses the entire market, from compact industrial systems to the most demanding applications requiring FOG-level performance. Our customers can rely on a single, consistent interface and uncompromising quality for their various applications,”
Applications Across Industries
The Pulse series has been designed for use across multiple industries, including:
- Unmanned vehicles
- Guidance and navigation for munitions
- Electro-optical systems
- Satcom-on-the-move
- Surveying and mapping
Its combination of compact design, high accuracy, and ease of integration makes it suitable for both high-volume production and mission-critical deployments.
The Pulse-80 is now available worldwide. The Pulse-20 is scheduled for commercial release later this year.
SBG Systems will showcase the Pulse series of IMUs at MSPO Poland and DSEI UK at Booth S7-201.
