A team of experts from SBG Systems is participating in Jammertest 2025, an annual event hosted by Norwegian authorities to test the resilience of global navigation and positioning systems.
The event, held from September 15 to 19 in Bleik and the surrounding Andøya region of Norway, brings together around 400 participants from global industry and government agencies.
Jammertest, now in its fourth year, is a collaborative initiative hosted by organizations including the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Communications Authority, and Defense Research Establishment. The event subjects participating technology to controlled, real-world signal interference and cybersecurity threats, such as GNSS jamming and spoofing, to assess how systems perform under duress. The goal is to collect field data and validate systems to reinforce the security and reliability of essential infrastructure.
The SBG Systems team traveled 3,400 kilometers across six countries to reach the remote test zone, which is a testament to the company’s ongoing commitment to robust, trustworthy technologies.
SBG Systems products already operate reliably in adverse field conditions. The demanding Jammertest setting provides a structured environment for evaluation enabling experts to collect several terabytes of data during these tests. This data helps the SBG team to enhance the resilience of their solutions and to strengthens the overall robustness of the company’s technology.
Jammertest 2025 addresses vulnerabilities that affect sectors such as transportation, emergency services, and finance, providing insights that can improve navigation safety and reliability globally. As signals face unprecedented risks, SBG Systems takes a proactive approach to counter them, with products that perform reliably even in hostile or unpredictable environments.
