In this video, Black Swift Technologies highlight the use of UAS for volcanic observation. This video was originally shown at NASA ESI (Earth Surface and Interior) and ESTO (Earth Science and Technology Office) UAS Workshop in March 2021.
The NASA UAS Workshop was an open discussion to determine the impact that UAS have or could have in current and future solid-Earth Science missions and projects. This includes the level of science being produced, the needs of the community, new concepts such as coordination with space and ground assets, legal limitations, and technological limitations of different platforms, sensors, and software. This workshop gathered community input so that NASA ESI and ESTO can better understand recent progress and future needs of UAS science and technology as well as their potential application to future Earth Science missions and programs.
