Black Swift S0™ Research UAS

The Black Swift S0 UAS is a fixed-wing platform that can undertake fully autonomous missions at altitudes of up to 15,000 feet AGL. It features a unique tail design that enables rapid ascent and descent, making it ideal for quick and accurate capture of 3D wind data at different levels.

The rugged platform has been engineered to operate in extreme atmospheric conditions, including hurricanes, and incorporates a comprehensive sensor suite that can capture a range of parameters including air temperature, wind speed and direction, dewpoint, and atmospheric pressure. The modular design enables the aircraft to also be equipped with additional payloads that can undertake missions such as air quality monitoring and trace gas detection.

A VTOL variant of the S0 is also available, originally developed as a tactical weather drone to aid the US Air Force in achieving more accurate cargo drops and improving localized weather forecasts for missions.
