HOBBYWING discusses how its P115M coaxial propulsion system has been equipped on the XJ-X250 hybrid multirotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) developed by STAR Technology.
The XJ-X250 features a full titanium alloy airframe designed to provide a lightweight structure with high strength. The aircraft integrates the newly released HOBBYWING P115M propulsion system as part of the drone’s coaxial propulsion configuration.
The UAV has a maximum takeoff weight of 700 kg and a maximum payload capacity of 300 kg. The platform is designed for missions including cargo transportation, emergency rescue operations, power line inspection and maintenance, and forest firefighting.
Integrated Propulsion Design
The P115M propulsion system incorporates shortened three-phase cables, built-in internal connections, and a fully enclosed wiring configuration. This design allows the XJ-X250 to maintain a streamlined internal layout.
The integrated structure reduces installation complexity and lowers maintenance requirements for the propulsion system within the UAV platform.
800 V High-Voltage Propulsion Platform
The P115M propulsion system is built on an 800 V high-voltage silicon carbide (SiC) platform. The system is efficient and energy-saving, optimizing overall power consumption while maintaining system stability during flight.
The propulsion configuration also incorporates a 3° tilt angle, which improves aerodynamic efficiency and flight dynamics. This configuration enables the XJ-X250 to maintain stable and responsive attitude control during hovering, cruising, and payload lifting operations.
