Cutting-Edge Autonomous Underwater Vehicles & Subsea Robotic Systems

Cellula Robotics is a world-leading developer of advanced autonomous subsea robotic systems designed to empower a wide range of applications with cutting-edge underwater capabilities. Our versatile AUVs (autonomous underwater vehicles) can be powered by hydrogen fuel cells or batteries, allowing you to undertake long-range operations with sustainable solutions that are precision-engineered to be at the forefront of the industry.

Our AUVs are trusted by a wide range of industry leaders and government agencies around the world, including BAE Systems, the Royal Canadian Navy, and the Schmidt Ocean Institute.

Cellula Robotics AUVs

Envoy AUV

Survey-class AUV with user-configurable payloads

The Envoy AUV is a versatile underwater robotic platform that is capable of covering up to 2000 line kilometres of survey in a single journey. The rapidly-deployable vehicle can be easily transported in a container and mobilized via trailer or vessel LARS.

Envoy AUV

Envoy is equipped with a range of cutting-edge navigation sensors, including the Sonardyne SprintNav INS as well as a DVL and USBL, ensuring high-accuracy operation in challenging waters. It can be equipped with a wide range of configurable payload options, including:

  • Synthetic aperture sonar
  • Multi-beam echosounder
  • Sub-bottom profiler
  • Camera and laser
  • Magnetometer
  • Environmental & geophysical sensors

Porter & Guardian AUVs

XLAUVs specialized for commercial & defense applications

Porter and Guardian are extra-large AUV platforms that are capable of remaining underwater for up to 45 days at a time, covering up to 5000 line kilometres of survey in a single sortie. With a maximum of 5000 litres of internal payload capacity and the ability to fit custom skids, they can be equipped with a wide range of payloads and sensors, and can even be used to deploy and recover smaller AUVs and ROVs or sensor nodes.

Porter & Guardian XL AUVs

Porter is also highly suited to ultra-long-range commercial and scientific surveys, while Guardian is ideal for naval and defense operations such as anti-submarine warfare and ISR.

Subsea Warden AUV

Hovering AUV with swarm capabilities

Subsea Warden is a hovering AUV platform that can be easily deployed from a support vessel by crane or davit. It can be equipped with a wide range of configurable payload options, including acoustic and magnetic measurement tools, non-destructive testing tools for hull inspection, manipulators, and more.

Subsea Warden hovering AUV platform

The innovative AUV can operate in fleets of three vehicles, allowing simultaneous measurements of vessel magnetic and acoustic signatures from port, starboard and under the keel. This relative positioning allows accurate signature recording and analysis without the need to sail vessels through a fixed range.

Subsea Sentinel Sensor Node

Seabed sensor node for marine mammal detection & target tracking

Subsea SentinelOur Subsea Sentinels are cableless sensor nodes that can be deployed autonomously in underwater arrays to provide reliable long-term collection and transmission of ocean data in real time.

Featuring onboard processing capabilities, they can be used to detect objects in the water column and track them through the sensor array.

Subsea Sentinels can be equipped with passive or active acoustic sensors, as well as long-range acoustic and short-range high-bandwidth optical communications options.
