Neousys Technology, a provider of rugged embedded computing systems, has launched the Nuvo-2860VTC, a compact fanless in-vehicle computer powered by an Intel Atom x7425E processor with a 12W thermal design power.
Measuring 206 x 144 x 65 mm, the ultra-compact platform delivers efficient computing power for real-time video processing, vehicle data collection, and fleet management across commercial vehicles and public transportation systems.
To ensure stable operation under continuous vibration and shock, the platform is equipped with four M12 GbE PoE+ ports that provide secure connections for Ethernet cameras and peripheral devices. Delivering power and data over a single cable reduces overall wiring complexity, while dual SocketCAN ports, two USB 3.2 ports, and a multi-mode COM port support broad vehicle network integration.
For tailored deployments, the hardware features an M.2 3042/3052 B-Key slot and two full-size mPCIe slots supporting 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GNSS modules. Storage configurations include one M.2 2280 NVMe/SATA SSD and a 2.5-inch SATA drive, allowing system integrators to scale hardware capabilities without altering the underlying computing platform.
“Vehicle computing systems need to withstand more than just computing workloads. Reliable connections, flexible I/O, and stable power management are also critical for long-term operation,” said Brian Hsieh, Product Manager of Neousys Technology. “Nuvo-2860VTC combines rugged M12 PoE+ connectivity with flexible expansion and an efficient Intel Atom platform, providing system integrators with a practical and reliable choice for in-vehicle applications.”
Certified to E-Mark and EN 50155 EMC (EN 50121) standards, the unit features an 8-35V DC wide-voltage input with built-in ignition power control. Its fanless chassis operates in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C, providing a robust solution for multi-camera video surveillance and vehicle data acquisition.
