ZenaTech has been named the winner of the “Drone Technology of the Year” award in the 2026 AgTech Breakthrough Awards program for its ZenaDrone precision agriculture solutions.
The annual awards program, operated by global market intelligence organization Tech Breakthrough, honors innovative products driving transformation across the agricultural sector through advancements in automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital farming. ZenaTech, a technology company specializing in AI-powered drones, Drone as a Service (DaaS), enterprise SaaS, and Quantum Computing solutions, earned the recognition for technology developed by its ZenaDrone subsidiary.
Currently in the testing and pilot stage, ZenaDrone’s precision agriculture solutions utilize real-time aerial data, AI-driven analytics, and 3D terrain mapping. Hardware platforms including the ZenaDrone 1000 and the IQ Series drones combine autonomous flight with advanced imaging to enable growers to map fields, track plant growth, assess crop health, and count plants and weeds. These aerial insights allow farmers to identify specific areas requiring water, fertilizer, or pest treatments, while drone surveillance can also support farm security and livestock monitoring.
“Precision agriculture is one of the most compelling commercial applications for AI-powered drones,” said Shaun Passley, Ph.D., ZenaTech CEO. “ZenaDrone solutions can help farmers identify crop stress earlier, monitor large areas faster, and apply water, fertilizer and crop treatments more precisely. Turning aerial data into timely, actionable insights can reduce input costs, improve productivity and support stronger yields. This ‘Drone Technology of the Year’ recognition highlights the growing importance of drone automation in agriculture and supports our strategy to bring advanced solutions to one of the world’s largest and most essential industries.”
Alongside its hardware and software developments, ZenaTech continues to expand its turnkey Drone as a Service model across multiple sectors. By providing integrated hardware, software, and AI analytics through a subscription framework, the company enables agricultural customers to automate time-intensive field inspections and gain actionable insights without needing to own or operate autonomous aerial platforms directly.
