UK-based electric marine propulsion innovator RAD Propulsion has expanded into the United States with the opening of a new office in Charleston, South Carolina, marking the next stage in its business plan to meet growing North American demand for sustainable marine technology.
The strategic move builds upon the company’s existing partnerships in the region, including an ongoing collaboration with Zodiac of North America, a leading manufacturer of inflatable and rigid-hull inflatable boats. RAD Propulsion’s rapidly developing American client base also includes Charleston-based Volare boats.
Specifically engineered to handle extreme conditions across diverse marine environments while reducing carbon emissions and noise pollution, RAD Propulsion’s drives and robotic control systems have established the company as a pioneer of high-performance electric marine products.

As part of its launch in the region, RAD Propulsion will exhibit at IBEX 2025 (International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference) this October in Tampa, Florida, where Harry Beadle, head of embedded systems at RAD, will represent the company to discuss its technology and growth plans.
