The RAD 120 is a high-performance electric outboard motor that delivers 120 kW of continuous power, providing the equivalent thrust of a conventional 150 hp engine. Designed for demanding maritime operations, the system combines high torque and responsive handling with a purpose-built electric architecture that maximizes efficiency and reliability. Its compact design and integrated control systems make it well suited to a wide range of unmanned and autonomous vessel applications in the commercial, government and defence sectors.
The propulsion system features RAD's fully integrated drive-by-wire architecture, providing precise throttle and steering control while enhancing manoeuvrability in challenging operating environments. Support for NMEA2000, Wi-Fi and GSM connectivity enables straightforward plug-and-play installation and integration with vessel monitoring, control and communications systems. The platform is also built around the RADBus ecosystem, allowing operators to access propulsion data and system controls through a unified interface.
Designed to support a variety of battery configurations, the RAD 120 offers flexibility for different vessel sizes and mission requirements. The system is compatible with battery capacities ranging from the recommended minimum of 61 kWh through to multi-battery installations providing up to 244 kWh of total energy storage.
