The RAD 40 is a compact outboard motor that has been purpose-built from the ground up to take advantage of the benefits of electric propulsion. Delivering 40 kW of continuous power and equivalent thrust to a conventional 60 hp outboard, the system features a space-saving design that remains behind the transom when tilted up, maximizing usable deck space and simplifying integration into a wide range of vessel types.
The motor offers a fully integrated 180-degree drive-by-wire steering system, enabling precise low-speed manoeuvring and simplifying docking in challenging environments. The IP67-rated system utilizes a closed-circuit cooling system that requires no raw water intake or maintenance and makes it ideal for both saltwater and freshwater operations.
The propulsion system incorporates RADBus connectivity, allowing seamless integration with vessel controls, displays and monitoring systems.
