SubC Imaging has collaborated with Orphie, a French imaging specialist, to deliver seamless compatibility between Orphie’s enhanced IP cameras and the SubC DVR+ Overlay system.
This integration gives underwater inspection teams a streamlined solution for capturing, annotating, and sharing clearer video in challenging environments, while making it easier to combine real-time video enhancement with subsea recording and streaming.
Orphie cameras are widely used in shallow-water diving and Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) inspections, where visibility is often limited and image detail is crucial.
The new integration with SubC Imaging’s DVR+ Overlay removes the need for custom configuration, allowing users to simply select “Orphie” as an input type, enter the camera’s IP address, and instantly access SubC’s powerful DVR tools. This streamlined connection adds to the DVR’s broad compatibility, which already supports all IP, composite, and HD-SDI cameras.
The SubC-Orphie integration delivers an seamless solution that combines enhanced video clarity with reliable DVR functionality. The system is ideal for diver-operated systems in shallow waters with poor visibility, as well as for light work-class ROV inspections that require compact, high-performance equipment.
Adam Rowe, VP of Software at SubC Imaging, stated, “We designed this integration to be as seamless as possible for the user. By building native support for Orphie into the DVR+ Overlay, operators can go from setup to recording in minutes, with no custom configuration or workarounds needed.”
Jules Guillien, Head of Sales and Product Owner at Orphie, added, “Orphie cameras have been designed to make inspections safer and easier, saving our customers vessel time. It’s a vision we share with SubC Imaging through their integration of our cameras into the DVR+ Overlay solution.”
