Rayfin Trench 11Km is SubC Imaging’s deepest-rated camera, purpose-built for full ocean depth operations to 11,000 meters. Based on the proven Rayfin platform, it captures 4K and HD video alongside high-resolution 12.3MP still images, combining a water-corrected optical dome with a wide in-water field of view to deliver sharp, low-distortion results. A 10x digital zoom (equivalent to 5x optical) and simultaneous still and video recording ensure that no critical visual detail is missed during inspection, survey, or research missions in extreme-pressure environments.
Designed for battery-powered landers, AUVs, winch-deployed systems, and hadal-capable ROVs, the camera supports autonomous operation through an integrated no-code scripting interface. Users can automate capture intervals, lighting control, and sensor-triggered events, with optional hibernation functionality to extend deployment duration during time-lapse or long-term monitoring projects.
Rapid Digital Imaging (RDI) enables adjustable capture rates up to 2 Hz, while the built-in DVR and internal storage allow hours of 4K video and thousands of still images to be recorded without continuous topside connectivity. Embedded tilt and roll logging, EXIF and NMEA metadata integration, and real-time video overlays with audio annotation provide clear, contextualized datasets. Dual auxiliary ports enable integration with external lights, lasers, and sensors, supporting flexible configuration across a wide range of unmanned subsea operations.
