SubC Imaging has entered into a partnership with Sweden-based OEM manufacturer Ocean Robotics International to integrate specialized underwater imaging technology into compact and observation-class Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
Under the new agreement, Ocean Robotics will incorporate SubC Imaging’s suite of cameras, video recording systems, software, lights, and lasers into its modular vehicle platforms. This integration will provide operators with expanded configuration options when deploying systems for underwater inspection, research, and monitoring applications.
Charlene Hounsell, Sales Manager at SubC Imaging, stated, “Ocean Robotics’ approach to vehicle design aligns well with how we develop our technology. Both companies focus on giving customers the flexibility to build systems around their operational requirements, and we’re excited to work together to support underwater inspections, operations, and data collection.”
The joint effort combines Ocean Robotics’ expertise in compact and observation-class ROVs underwater imaging technology. Together, the companies will support customers looking for integrated solutions for offshore, marine science, aquaculture, and other underwater applications.
Niklas Wänström, CTO Ocean Robotics International, added, “Image quality plays a critical role in underwater inspections and observations. By partnering with SubC Imaging, we’re able to offer our customers access to advanced imaging technology that helps them capture clearer, more useful data during their operations.”
As underwater operations continue to evolve, both companies remain focused on delivering practical, adaptable technologies that help customers collect better data and complete underwater work more efficiently.
