Silicon Sensing Systems has achieved the production of its 30 millionth inertial sensor, serving global markets including robotics, industrial production, marine, aerospace, defense, transport and space applications.
The company develops high-performance accelerometers, gyros, inertial measurement units (IMUs) and combi-sensors based on its unique, patented, micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) technology.
Silicon Sensing’s product range includes advanced IMUs and gyros that set new performance standards, outperforming larger and less durable fibre optic (FOG) and dynamically tuned gyro (DTG) systems and sensors.
The company’s in-house production facilities deliver these precision solutions in high volumes, meeting the complex requirements and high standards of multiple markets.
David Somerville, General Manager of Silicon Sensing, commented, “The production of 30 million sensors is an immense accomplishment for our team.
“Achieving this milestone has required substantial engineering expertise, continuous process refinement, sustained innovation, clear long-term commitment and considerable financial investment. Together, these factors have enabled us to maximise production whilst maintaining exceptional product performance.”
