Silicon Sensing Systems has released Zenith, a new closed-loop Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) accelerometer for the aerospace market.
The single-axis accelerometer, designated CAS150/170, is designed for precision-critical applications requiring precise linear-acceleration measurement. Developed for demanding aviation environments, long-endurance missions and fast-changing operations, Zenith combines sustained, precise linear-acceleration measurement with low Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWaP-C).

Zenith combines extremely low noise spectral density for signal clarity with a robust ±14g dynamic range, supporting accurate data capture in demanding conditions.
The surface-mountable accelerometer is available in two sensing configurations: in-plane CAS150 and orthogonal CAS170. The two orientations allow engineers to achieve multi-axis measurement on a single Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), optimizing the use of space without compromising reliability.
