The CRG21 Single-Axis MEMS Gyroscope from Silicon Sensing is a closed-loop rate sensor developed for reliable operation under demanding shock and vibration conditions. Designed as the successor to the CRG20, it retains the same footprint to simplify form, fit, and function replacement while delivering improved performance and greater environmental robustness. The CRG21 is offered in several configurations, allowing system designers to select different rate-range and bandwidth characteristics for their integration requirements.
Its compact construction and resistance to challenging mechanical environments support use in autonomous vehicles as well as the defense and space applications identified by Silicon Sensing. The CRG21 requires no additional calibration according to the supplied product information, helping streamline installation into systems where dependable angular-rate measurement is required. Available versions provide nominal bandwidths from 40 to 90 Hz, an operating-temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, and a digital SPI® interface.
