Neousys Technology has introduced the SEMIL-2200 and SEMIL-2200GC series of extreme-rugged, fanless AI GPU computers, engineered for mission-critical defense and military applications.
The series is built to meet high standards for reliability and compliance in environments where conventional servers would fail. The SEMIL-2200 is a half-rack computer supporting Intel 14th/13th/12th Gen Core™ processors, while the SEMIL-2200GC is a 19-inch 2U rackmount platform that integrates NVIDIA L4 GPU acceleration. This integration provides powerful AI inference and data processing capabilities for next-generation autonomous defense systems, including unmanned vehicles and C4ISR networks.
The SEMIL-2200GC series is designed for survival and operation in challenging conditions. Its rugged features include compliance with multiple military standards, such as MIL-STD-461G for electromagnetic compatibility in ground applications and MIL-STD-1275D for power stability in vehicle and mobile deployments. The system is also MIL-STD-810H tested for resilience against shock, vibration, and wide temperature variations.
Featuring an IP69K-rated, fully sealed, fanless design, the computers are protected against water and dust, enabling reliable 24/7 operation in extreme settings. By eliminating mechanical fans and utilizing a patented thermal design, the SEMIL series supports wide-temperature operation from -40°C to 70°C. Crucially, the GPU performance is sustained up to its 58°C throttling point, ensuring dependable computing power in demanding conditions.
The SEMIL-2200 series is specifically built for defense contractors, system integrators, and solution providers who require rugged AI computing at the tactical edge. Typical applications for the new computers include Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) for reconnaissance, logistics, and autonomous mobility; Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) for maritime patrol operations; and C4ISR/C5ISR platforms requiring reliable, high-throughput AI data processing.
Brian Hsieh, Product Manager at Neousys Technology, stated, “Defense environments demand computing platforms that deliver performance without compromise. With the SEMIL-2200 series, we’re providing a fully sealed, MIL-STD-validated AI GPU computer that enables contractors and integrators to deploy autonomy and intelligence at the tactical edge, on land or at sea.”
The SEMIL-2200 series is intended to bridge the gap between industrial embedded computers and costly bespoke military servers.
