This video shows ParaZero’s DefendAir system intercepting and neutralizing a fast-incoming FPV attack drone using its net-based Counter-UAS interceptor.
The demonstration highlights DefendAir’s role in addressing high-speed, low-altitude, maneuverable FPV platforms, which represent one of the most time-critical aerial threats facing military forces and critical infrastructure operators today. DefendAir is designed as a close-range, last-layer kinetic-effect interceptor and operates without explosives, providing an engagement option when electronic warfare, GNSS denial, or cyber takeover measures are ineffective or unavailable.
In this scenario, DefendAir demonstrates engagement within a compressed timeline against a small, agile, low-signature UAV using non-explosive net capture to reduce fragmentation and collateral effects. The system is suited for point defense and asset protection missions across a range of operational environments, including forward operating bases, vehicle and convoy protection, critical infrastructure defense, and urban or complex terrain.
DefendAir is designed to complement existing detection, electronic warfare, and command-and-control systems and to operate as the terminal layer within a layered Counter-UAS architecture, providing a deployable and scalable solution for countering FPV threats in operational environments.
