ASELSAN showcased its advanced multi-domain defense solutions, engineering capabilities, and serial production infrastructure during NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s visit to the company’s Gƶlbaşı Technology Base in Ankara in April 2026.

The visit highlighted ASELSAN’s role within Türkiye’s defense industry, with the company presenting a broad portfolio of technologies designed to address the evolving requirements of modern warfare.

ASELSAN, Türkiye’s largest defense electronics firm and Europe’s fifth most valuable defense company, demonstrated capabilities spanning air defense, drone defense, land systems, naval technologies, electronic warfare, and unmanned aerial vehicle payloads.

The program included a focus on the Steel Dome multi-layered air defense architecture, as well as key components of ASELSAN’s flagship systems across its core technology areas. The NATO delegation also toured state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and final assembly lines, where ASELSAN’s advanced serial production capabilities were showcased.

During the visit, Rutte met with ASELSAN’s young engineers and later praised the company’s contribution to Türkiye’s defense industrial development. Commenting ahead of the NATO Leaders’ Summit in Ankara in July, he stated, ā€œThis spring, I spoke with talented young engineers at ASELSAN, Türkiye’s largest defense electronics company. They are driving Türkiye’s defense industrial revolution, which will benefit every member of our Alliance.ā€ Watch Rutte speak here >>

The visit emphasized ASELSAN’s integrated, system-level approach to defense technology, combining innovation, human capital, and high-tech manufacturing to support interoperable, scalable, and mission-ready solutions for NATO and allied defense requirements.
