ASELSAN showcased its advanced multi-domain defense solutions, engineering capabilities, and serial production infrastructure during NATO Secretary General Mark Rutteās visit to the companyās GƶlbaÅı Technology Base in Ankara in April 2026.
The visit highlighted ASELSANās role within Türkiyeās defense industry, with the company presenting a broad portfolio of technologies designed to address the evolving requirements of modern warfare.
ASELSAN, Türkiyeās largest defense electronics firm and Europeās fifth most valuable defense company, demonstrated capabilities spanning air defense, drone defense, land systems, naval technologies, electronic warfare, and unmanned aerial vehicle payloads.
The program included a focus on the Steel Dome multi-layered air defense architecture, as well as key components of ASELSANās flagship systems across its core technology areas. The NATO delegation also toured state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and final assembly lines, where ASELSANās advanced serial production capabilities were showcased.
During the visit, Rutte met with ASELSANās young engineers and later praised the companyās contribution to Türkiyeās defense industrial development. Commenting ahead of the NATO Leadersā Summit in Ankara in July, he stated, āThis spring, I spoke with talented young engineers at ASELSAN, Türkiye’s largest defense electronics company. The visit emphasized ASELSANās integrated, system-level approach to defense technology, combining innovation, human capital, and high-tech manufacturing to support interoperable, scalable, and mission-ready solutions for NATO and allied defense requirements.
