ParaZero Technologies Ltd. has successfully intercepted a fast-moving drone traveling at 70mph during internal live testing of its DefendAir system.
The trial utilized patented net-launching technology to achieve the first-ever successful net-based interception of an aerial threat at such high speeds for the company. During the test, the system demonstrated its capacity for real-time, on-the-move protection by simulating a combat scenario where a hostile drone closed in rapidly on ground forces. This milestone positions the platform as a viable solution for countering tactical threats, including high-speed FPV attack drones and other lethal unmanned systems.
As an aerospace defense company focused on smart, autonomous solutions for the manned and unmanned aerial systems industry, ParaZero designed the system to provide a non-explosive, low-collateral interception method. The technology is developed to be versatile for various operational needs and is available in handheld, stationary, and drone-mounted configurations to protect troops, convoys, and high-value assets.
Ariel Alon, CEO of ParaZero, said, “We are thrilled to demonstrate DefendAir’s strong and reliable performance in demanding operational conditions. We believe that intercepting a 70 mph threat represent a significant advancement for force protection in modern battlefields.”
