Embention, a developer of autopilots and high-performance UAV components, has confirmed its production facilities meet ISO Class 9 cleanroom conditions, in accordance with the international standard ISO 14644.
This achievement highlights Embention’s strong dedication to maintaining controlled, high-quality, and reliable autopilot manufacturing processes, strengthening its leadership in developing safety-critical avionics for UAV and eVTOL applications.
By meeting ISO 14644 requirements through standardized environmental control, Embention lays a foundation for future growth, innovation, and scalability in its facilities, while also preparing to meet higher standards as project needs evolve.
As an internationally recognized standard, ISO 14644 provides Embention with technical credibility and facilitates external audits and industry comparisons. Compliance with ISO Class 9 at this initial level also demonstrates process quality and repeatability, supported by a controlled environment that reduces contaminant particles.
Embention can now document and communicate specific, quantifiable metrics that meet ISO 14644 criteria, rather than relying on vague statements.
This certification milestone was made possible by the dedication of Embention’s team, particularly the Production Department, which maintained strict protocols throughout the process. These included the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), rigorous cleaning routines, FOD (Foreign Object Debris/Damage) prevention, and adherence to strict procedures.
These results are supported by the rigorous aerospace practices followed during Veronte Autopilot production. Each unit undergoes sequential manufacturing with strict checkpoints, including visual inspections, stress testing, tropicalization, calibration, and functional verification.
Additional Certifications
Embention is the first company focused on drone autopilots to obtain APDOA approval from EASA, granting it the ability to design certified aviation-grade systems in line with strict ETSO standards.
The company has also become the first global manufacturer of drone and eVTOL autopilots to receive POA certification from AESA. This dual recognition strengthens Embention’s role as a leading developer in safety-critical avionics, combining design and manufacturing under high civil aviation standards.
These APDOA and POA certifications, alongside ISO 9001 and EN9100 quality standards, Embention maintains full process traceability and control, highlighting its commitment to safety, reliability, and scalability in the evolving UAV and eVTOL industry.
