Vantage Robotics is a leading Silicon Valley-based developer of state-of-the-art drone technology engineered from the ground up to serve mission-critical operations. UST is delighted to welcome Vantage Robotics on board as a supplier partner, and we will be highlighting their unique solutions and capabilities across our channels over the next 12 months.
We’ve just launched Vantage Robotics’ UST supplier profile, which has been written and built by our team in collaboration with the company. The Platinum profile showcases their NDAA-compliant products, which boast uncompromising build quality and thousands of hours of flight testing, and are ideal for government and military applications as well as commercial and civil use cases.
Vesper is a portable quadcopter UAS (unmanned aerial system) that delivers reliable aerial reconnaissance under the most challenging conditions, providing a critical eye-in-the-sky capability that can be rapidly deployed day or night. The versatile drone can be equipped with two different sets of rotors – a shrouded set for operating indoors or near people, and a reconnaissance set that delivers enhanced speed, endurance and stealth. Vesper boasts a 50+ minute flight time and an exceptional low light camera capable of effective imaging down to 10 mLux.
Ideal as an ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) platform as well as for civilian applications such as inspection, Vesper is equipped with a field-swappable stabilized gimbal that features dual 4K EO sensors and a thermal imager. The rugged IP53-rated aircraft can be transported in a compact and durable field case with a total weight of just 1 kg, and can go from case to airborne in under 90 seconds.
The NDAA-compliant UAS is ideal for meeting the needs of sensitive military and government applications, and features AES-256 encryption on all communications and data storage.
Trace is a pocket-sized multirotor UAS that provides the capabilities of much larger platforms in a compact and lightweight form factor, resulting in what Vantage Robotics believes to be the most capable ISR nano-drone on the market. Weighing just 153 grams, Trace sits well below the FAA’s intrinsically safe weight threshold, allowing it to be used in a wide range of scenarios without risk or added certification requirements.
Providing a gimbal-stabilized thermal camera and 48MP EO camera, the highly portable drone is ideal for covert reconnaissance applications, and boasts an exceptionally low noise signature. The system’s computing power enables AI-assisted autonomy software for object classification and tracking.
Vision2 is a universal handheld GCS for UAS and unmanned systems operators, based around the powerful Qualcomm QCS8250 CPU with 15 TOPS of AI computing power, and featuring a daylight-readable 2500 NIT 7″ touchscreen display in a lightweight and compact 600 gram/1.3 lb system. With a secure DoD security-scan ready OS based on Android 10, it provides compatibility with a range of industry-standard software including ATAK, UAS Tool, QGroundControl, Autonodyne Nexus, and RAC2.
The system offers up to 4 hours of battery life, and includes a DoD-standard Swappable Radio Module (SRM) that currently supports Microhard, Persistent, Doodle Labs, DTC, and Silvus radios. It also incorporates a multi-constellation GNSS receiver for accurate return-to-pilot and follow-me flight modes, as well as an integrated IMU and magnetometer.
Vision2 is NDAA-compliant and Net Warrior/SWAK compatible, providing AES-256 encryption, secure user authentication and an option for automatic system wipe after failed logins.
