Gremsy has launched Pixy MR, a new gimbal solution designed specifically for the Sony ILX-LR1 camera and compatible with the DJI M300 and M350 drone platforms. Offering seamless integration via DJI Skyport, Pixy MR is quick and easy to set up, making it ideal for a wide range of professional applications.

The ready-to-fly plug-and-play gimbal system effortlessly connects to the Sony ILX-LR1 camera, utilizing the default damping of the DJI M300/M350 RTK drones and supporting the SEL28F20, SEL35F28Z, SEL24F28G, SEL40F25G, and SEL50F25G lenses. Pixy MR also provides access to all the available functions through the DJI Pilot app, ensuring a seamless and efficient flight experience.

Pixy MR offers unparalleled control over the camera and gimbal, allowing users to remotely adjust camera exposure, shutter speed, ISO, aperture, and other essential settings. With the DJI Pilot app, you can effortlessly trigger the camera and record high-quality videos, while livestreaming your aerial footage on the DJI RC with HDMI/USB output.

With the support of the AI Processing Unit, the Sony ILX-LR1 camera provides accurate and comprehensive subject recognition, allowing you to capture detailed and precise images. The camera’s backside-illuminated (BSI) Exmor R sensor enhances image quality, while the powerful BIONZ XR image processor delivers up to 8x more processing power, resulting in exceptional image output with every shot. With a pixel pitch of 3.8 μm, the Sony ILX-LR1 guarantees sharp and clear image rendering.

Pixy MR combines seamless integration, precise control, and superior imaging to provide capabilities that will improve the operations of photographers, surveyors, inspectors, and other drone industry professionals. As an example, during a test mapping mission, Pixy MR achieved a ground resolution of 2.42 mm/pix at a flying altitude of 21.3 meters, and covered an area of 3.44 square kilometers. This result highlights the precision and efficiency that Pixy MR brings to mapping projects.
