Sentera Sensors & Drones has announced that its 6X Multispectral, 6X Thermal, and 65R sensors are now compatible with the Gremsy hyper-quick-release interconnect.
This integration expands the usability of Sentera’s sensing technology to a broader range of drone platforms, facilitating more efficient data acquisition for technical applications. The hardware combination is designed to support operations in precision agriculture, surveying, mapping, utility inspection, and public safety. By joining existing gimbal options like DJI Skyport and Smart Dovetail, the Gremsy compatibility allows professional users to deploy these sensors across varied hardware ecosystems.
Eric Taipale, chief technology officer, Sentera, commented, “We are excited to offer compatibility with drones equipped with this popular Gremsy gimbal attachment. This will help our customers more seamlessly capture high quality RGB, multispectral, and thermal imagery.”
The 65R sensor features 65 million pixels per frame and utilizes a global shutter to produce imagery free from rolling-shutter distortions. This high-resolution output is optimized for generating Digital Surface Models (DSMs), orthomosaics, and detailed individual photos without compromising image quality.
For high-efficiency data collection, the 6X series offers a high capture-rate performance. The resulting imagery is standards-compliant, allowing for processing and analysis within Sentera’s proprietary software or various third-party data science ecosystems.
“Adding this to our suite of gimbal options – joining DJI Skyport and Smart Dovetail – makes our sensors easy to bring to new applications and use cases,” said Taipale.
The Sentera 6X and 65R sensors are currently available through the manufacturer and its network of authorized dealers.
