Multibeam echosounders technology has matured a great deal over the last twenty years and are now commonplace in the many markets where seabed mapping is required. As more users adapt to the technology there are increased demands of data quality, output types, and ease of operation and workflows. We are seeing multibeam echosounders being operated remotely in uncrewed vessels. We also note a wider community taking interest in the technology meaning users with a varied skill level need to operate these sensors and produce high-quality data deliverables. All these trends mean we need to think more about how we can enable this growing users group. In this webinar, I will present to you some advancements that allow for improved data and improve data collection.
