Honeywell Aerospace, a leader in aerospace technology, is developing a hydrogen fuel cell version of the Skylane 350.
In this video, a Honeywell engineer demonstrates how hydrogen propulsion offers two to three times the flight duration of traditional battery systems at the same weight. At the heart of the conversion is the fuel cell stack, which turns gaseous hydrogen into electricity in place of the standard battery pack.
Also featured are Honeywell’s connectivity solutions, including a satcom antenna and indoor unit equipped with dual LTE and satellite modems, ensuring continuous data connectivity during flight.
The demonstration underscores Honeywell’s commitment to sustainable aviation technologies and the potential of hydrogen fuel cells for long-endurance flight.
