In this video, Teledyne Marine showcases the deployment of its Slocum Glider from a Zero USV Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV), highlighting how integrated uncrewed systems can support persistent maritime operations.
The demonstration shows the long-endurance Slocum Glider being launched autonomously from the USV before beginning its mission beneath the surface to collect oceanographic and environmental data. Together, the platforms demonstrate a modern, fully uncrewed approach to ocean data collection and interoperability between autonomous systems, while reducing reliance on crewed vessels.
This system-of-systems capability also supports new opportunities for distributed sensing, long-duration monitoring and remote operations across defense, commercial and ocean science applications.
