HFE International’s GenPod® 70 LRU is a fully self-contained, line-replaceable propulsion module designed to simplify Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) integration, maintenance, and field operations.
The unit combines an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) engine, onboard electrical generation, and all required control hardware within a single modular assembly intended for small-to-medium unmanned aircraft.

The GenPod approach allows operators to replace the entire propulsion module rather than servicing individual components.
The GenPod 70 LRU incorporates a 70 cc EFI engine, integrated fuel pump and Engine Control Unit (ECU), a starter-generator capable of supplying up to 500 W, an isolation-mounted motor system, a low-signature muffler, and all necessary wiring and mounting hardware.
This configuration removes the need for complex engine-bay integration and enables rapid replacement of the propulsion system during maintenance or field operations.

Built for Reliability and Operational Flexibility
The GenPod 70 LRU has a Time Between Overhauls (TBO) of 300 hours and supports both pusher and tractor configurations. The module includes an integrated muffler to manage acoustic output, and the onboard starter-generator supplies up to 500 W of electrical power for avionics and other aircraft systems.
The GenPod 70 LRU integrates propulsion, power generation, vibration isolation, and electronic control hardware into a single module.
