DA 120 EFI Engine

The DA 120 EFI UAV Engine from HFE International is a 121 cc UAV engine equipped with an electronic fuel injection system that regulates fuel and spark timing for consistent performance during demanding flight operations. A magnet assembly in the prop hub enables quick manual starting, and the engine control module operates from a single 3-cell LiPo battery of 1500 mAh or greater capacity. At full throttle, the system draws 12 W (1 A). Tested from sea level to 10,000 ft and from 10 °F to 120 °F, the engine is designed for a wide range of UAV applications.

Alternator options include a 500 W starter-alternator, which directly drives from the crankshaft and can be paired with a 500 W power management unit (PMU) featuring an integrated starter controller for remote start capability. The PMU provides three selectable outputs: 24–28 VDC at up to 350 W, 12–15 VDC at up to 108 W, and 4.8–8 VDC at up to 42 W. The system supports LiIon, LiPo, LiFePO4, SLA, NiCad, NiMH, and lead acid batteries. Custom alternator configurations are available on request.
