The DA 100 EFI Engine is a 100 cc UAV engine incorporating an electronic fuel injection system for consistent and reliable performance. A magnet assembly in the prop hub enables quick manual starting, and the engine control module operates from a single 3-cell LiPo battery of 1500 mAh or greater capacity. At full throttle, the system draws only 12 W (1 A). The engine has been tested in a range of operating conditions and is designed for professional UAV applications.
An optional 400 W starter-alternator directly drives from the engine crankshaft, with the stator mounted to the crankshaft casing and the rotor spinning on the crankshaft. It can be paired with a 500 W power management unit (PMU) with an integrated starter controller, enabling remote start capability. The PMU provides three selectable outputs: 24–28 VDC at up to 350 W, 12–15 VDC at up to 108 W, and 4.8–8 VDC at up to 42 W. Both systems are compatible with LiIon, LiPo, LiFePO4, SLA, NiCad, NiMH, and lead acid batteries, and custom alternator options are available upon request.
