The SG-3A-EC by Aegiverse, a developer of advanced Fibre Optic Gyro (FOG)-based inertial sensing technologies for drones, airplane, and underwater vehicles, is a a single-axis, closed-loop FOG, designed to deliver reliable and accurate angular velocity measurement in a compact, lightweight form factor.
Engineered for SWaP efficiency and seamless integration, the SG-3A-EC delivers precision performance for stabilization and control systems in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned platforms. It also integrates easily into higher-order systems such as Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) and Inertial Navigation Systems (INS).
Aegiverse’s SG-3A-EC FOG has dimensions of 60 x 60 x 72 mm and a weight of 300 g, forming a special cuboid block shape. It provides a bias instability of 0.030°/hr, an angular random walk of 0.010°/√hr, and a bias stability of 0.150°/hr.
This FOG is suitable for mass-production, as well as customer installation convenience. For customers requiring an advanced version with accuracy aligned to high-end product standards, the SG-3A-EC delivers high-quality performance consistent with these requirements.
Aegiverse’s 1-axis FOG solutions are optimized for 2D inertial heading estimation and small-rotation monitoring in bridge sway, construction and building movement, and earthquake rotation measurement operations.
The company’s FOG products support applications across space, aviation, ground, and underwater domains, providing customer-first, balanced, and advanced specifications tailored to diverse user environments and needs.
Space-qualified models undergo extensive ground testing, including simulated rocket-launch vibration and impact, proton bombardment, and cobalt-60 radiation exposure, supporting platforms ranging from 6U-24U CubeSats to 100-500 kg Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellites.
