Gremsy and Beyond Vision have formed a strategic technical partnership to showcase an integrated, high-precision aerial surveillance solution at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026.
The collaboration addresses a common industry friction point: the lack of seamless compatibility between unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms and specialized camera payloads. By focusing on cohesive integration rather than treating components as disconnected entities, the two companies aim to streamline hardware, software, and operational workflows into a single, reliable asset. This unified system is purpose-built to deliver reliable, time-sensitive aerial intelligence across complex and demanding operational environments.
At the airshow, which runs from July 20 to 24, attendees can explore the newly integrated solution featuring Gremsy’s VIO G1 payload mounted on Beyond Vision’s BVQ418 Smart Quadcopter. The VIO G1 is an electro-optical, infrared, and laser rangefinder camera payload, while the BVQ418 is a specialized smart quadcopter platform. Together, they form a cohesive unit designed to enhance operational efficiency across various sectors, including critical infrastructure inspection, public safety and emergency response, and perimeter monitoring.
For critical infrastructure operations, the integrated system allows operators to inspect energy grids and industrial assets with precise laser-range tracking. In public safety and emergency response, the platform assists search and rescue missions by utilizing thermal imaging to locate targets through smoke or complete darkness. Additionally, the system provides continuous situational awareness for perimeter monitoring, helping to secure high-risk sectors, borders, and rugged terrain.
“Enterprise and government clients today are no longer looking to purchase separate, fragmented drone components; they demand turnkey, mission-ready solutions,” said Jay Huynh, Chief Commercial Officer at Gremsy. “Collaborating with Beyond Vision represents an important milestone in Gremsy’s European growth strategy. Our goal is to deliver a fully unified system to end customers in complex, mission-critical environments.”
As a prominent Portugal-based drone manufacturer, Beyond Vision specializes in defense and industrial aerial platforms, while Gremsy is a global leader in advanced camera payload systems for UAVs and robotics. Industry professionals, government officials, and systems integrators are invited to view the system first-hand at Hall 0, Stand 0680, during the Farnborough International Airshow. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the system’s capabilities through interactive simulations.
