Schiebel and the Hellenic Navy have successfully completed the initial acceptance campaign for the first two CAMCOPTER S-100 Unmanned Air Systems destined for use on new Frégate de Défense et d’Intervention frigates.
Over the course of one week at Kotroni Helicopter Base, the first two systems, comprising four helicopter Unmanned Air Vehicles, underwent functional testing to confirm their readiness for operational use. This milestone follows the contract signing on 13 February 2026 for a total of four systems for the Hellenic Navy’s fleet.
Equipped with L3 Harris MX-10 EO/IR and Overwatch Imaging PT-8DN Oceanwatch, the aircraft will provide enhanced capabilities across missions including maritime security, search and rescue, environmental monitoring, and exclusive economic zone control.
“This milestone marks an important step in the introduction of the CAMCOPTER S-100 with the Hellenic Navy,” said Hans Georg Schiebel, Chairman of the Schiebel Group. “The successful acceptance campaign highlights the effective collaboration between Schiebel and the Hellenic Navy, paving the way for operational deployment.”
