Aerobits has introduced the GS3L, an advanced multi-channel receiver station designed for the comprehensive monitoring of both manned and unmanned air traffic.
The system is engineered to provide effective airspace awareness in complex environments by combining flexibility, scalability, and support for key surveillance technologies. As a fully configurable platform, the GS3L allows for the installation of mPCI cards in various configurations and can be integrated with different antenna types, including sector antennas for targeted area coverage and omnidirectional antennas for full spatial coverage.
To meet the demands of modern airspace, Aerobits has integrated several essential standards into the GS3L hardware. The station supports ADS-B for conventional air traffic, FLARM for general aviation, and ADS-L specifically dedicated to U-space. Additionally, it features Remote ID capabilities on both 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequencies, which is crucial for the identification of drones.
The GS3L is designed for easy deployment and reliable operation in professional settings. It features Ethernet with Power over Ethernet (PoE) to simplify installation, alongside a DC power supply range of 12-24V and optional LTE Cat 4 connectivity for remote data transmission.
These features allow the station to be utilized across a wide range of use cases, including air traffic management, ATM/UTM systems, the protection of critical infrastructure, aviation operations and traffic analysis. According to Aerobits, GS3L represents another step towards intelligent, integrated airspace monitoring, supporting both current and future airspace management needs.
